Audio - The A-Team theme

On this page, you can hear or download some of the many versions that The A-Team theme appeared in over the course of the series. More to follow.

 

The format is .mp3, mostly to save space, but you might wish to save them as .wav in your favoured media player in order to use them as Windows sounds.

PILOT (MEXICAN SLAYRIDE) CLOSING CREDITS THEME - The only time in the show's run that this particular version was used (which is a shame, as I think it would have suited the closing credits of some first season episodes).

FIRST SEASON OPENING CREDITS v.2 - The 'standard' A-team theme (which was used on the opening credits until the later third season), here taken from the first season. It is the second first season version -the only difference being the machine gun noise as the title appeared on screen, used from 'The Out-of-Towners' onwards.

SIXTY SECOND VERSION - A sixty second version of the 'standard' theme, often used on the pre-episode trailers, and on a great many of the closing credits. This example taken from the first season episode 'Children of Jamestown'.

THIRTY SECOND VERSION - A thirty second version of the 'standard' theme, commonly used on the pre-episode trailers, and very occasionally on the closing credits. This example taken from the first season's 'Pros and Cons', also used (with a slightly different drum section lead in) on the third season episodes 'Skins' and 'Knights of the Road', and the fourth season's 'Blood, Sweat and Cheers'.

FIRST SEASON EXTENDED CLOSING CREDITS - A longer first season closing credits theme, used on 'A Small and Deadly War' and 'One More Time', as well as, in a 'looped' form, on the season finale, 'A Nice Place to Visit' (see below). It was used for one last time in an unusual edit, on the second season episode 'The Maltese Cow'.

FIRST SEASON EXTENDED CLOSING CREDITS (LOOP) - An even longer version of the above closing credis theme - this example from 'A Nice Place To Visit' even loops over at one point to make it even longer!!

SECOND SEASON EXTENDED CLOSING CREDITS - An extended closing credits theme, which cuts from a 'standard' version into re-recording (which is in many ways my person favourite version of the theme), and which sounds very similar to the first season extended closing theme but is actually slightly different. Used on the closing credits of 'Diamonds 'N Dust' and 'Bad Time on the Border', and, without the 'standard' version, on the third season's feature-length / two-part 'The Bend in the River'.

QUICK BURST - Taken from the above 'second season extended closing credits', this is a quick burst of the end of the theme, that makes a good Windows shutdown sound.

"WHEN YOU COMIN' BACK, RANGE RIDER?" CLOSING CREDITS - The show's longest ever closing credits theme, this one has many different sections to it.

BULLETS AND BIKINIS CLOSING CREDITS THEME - The third season revamped theme; here as heard on the closing credits of the season's opening episode, 'Bullets and Bikinis' - it seems to be the version that would go on to be used on the opening credits later in the season, and is the only time it was used on the closing credits.

THE BIG SQUEEZE CLOSING CREDITS THEME - A version of the theme that appeared on a number of third season opening trailers (and once in the fourth season, for 'Uncle Buckle-Up'). As heard here on the closing credits of the third season's 'The Big Squeeze', it has the middle drum section abridged, and it is the only time that it was ever heard on the closing credits.
